Pauline Lee has
extensive experience
in HR, having worked
in various
functional HR
capacities, briefly
in the Ministry of
Defence, and
thereafter, in a
very large global
oil and
petrochemicals
company.
-
She has been
involved in a
startup team
responsible for the
full spectrum of HR
Policy Development,
HR processes, and
implementation for
the new corporate
entity in Singapore.
-
She has been
involved in the
restructuring of a
company from a joint
venture to a
subsidiary, managing
the HR aspects in
terms of people
changes, including
changes to policy,
processes and
practices, to align
with those of the
Group and staff's
union membersip
tranfers. She
was also involved in
the transfer of
staff from a parent
company to new
corporate Joint
Venture entities as
a result of
organisational
restructuring.

She was involved in
global initiatives,
bringing a
much-needed sense of
reality to change
initiatives
conceived globally,
and ensuring
relevance &
for-for-purpose
implementation on
the ground, which is
critical to success.
This included
ensuring all people
issues were dealt
with with
professionalism,
integrity and
respect, whilst not
losing sight of the
larger business
goals.

She was responsible
for the introduction
of a graduate
selection
methodology into the
Singapore
organization in the
1990’s, one of the
first in the Group
to do so. This
methodology has been
well-validated by
experience and
continues to provide
the competitive edge
in graduate
recruitment till
today. She also
established the
first Graduate
Development
Programme for the
company in
Singapore, among the
earliest to do so
within the Group.
This programme has
since evolved and
become a cornerstone
of young Talent
Development for the
Group.

During her
assignment as
Learning &
Development Manager,
she revamped the
function to bring it
into in alignment
with business needs,
basing learning and
development
interventions on
clearly identified
development needs of
individuals to
enable their
achievement of their
business goals.

and
