HR Interest Group on May 18: Release & Retention
Interest Group Session on Release & Retention of Staff
Monday, May 18th 2009 , 3.30pm - 6.00pm
SDC Consulting Conference Room, 1 Coleman Street, #08-03 The Adelphi
Following the SDC Conference in February, we have received numerous requests to start Interest Groups on topics of specific and critical concern to the HR profession.
SDC would be organising our inaugural Interest Group session aimed to allow HR professionals to share ideas and benchmark outside their own organization. Discussions will be led by an experience facilitator and will maintain appropriate conditions for focused discussion over tea.
What better way to connect with other professionals like yourself and share ideas and exchange knowledge and experiences on common challenges/issues!
Release & Retention of Staff….
At our upcoming Interest Group session, the following issues will be discussed:
- Given the extraneous business conditions, release of people is inevitable. Are there strategic ways to keep staff -in particular good talent -or by improving productivity?
- What are the market practices/policies around the release of staff? How can we handle release better - with respect -or provide tools to help line managers tell bad news?
